If you're planning a trip to Tokyo, here's a suggested itinerary for a 3-day trip:
Day 1:
Morning: Visit the Meiji Shrine, a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken.
Afternoon: Take a walk through Harajuku, a trendy neighborhood known for its vibrant youth culture and unique fashion.
Evening: Head to Shibuya Crossing, the world's busiest pedestrian crossing, for a truly iconic Tokyo experience. After dinner, enjoy the city's nightlife in Shinjuku, Tokyo's red-light district and home to many bars, clubs, and karaoke joints.
Day 2:
Morning: Visit the Tokyo National Museum, Japan's largest and most comprehensive museum.
Afternoon: Take a boat ride to Odaiba, a man-made island in Tokyo Bay.
Evening: Have dinner at one of Odaiba's many restaurants with views of the Tokyo skyline. Then, head to the Fuji TV Building to enjoy the views from its observation deck.
Day 3:
Morning: Visit the Imperial Palace, the main residence of the Emperor of Japan.
Afternoon: Visit Asakusa, a traditional neighborhood known for its temples, shrines, and shops.
Evening: Have dinner at one of Asakusa's many restaurants serving traditional Japanese cuisine. Then, enjoy a leisurely walk along the Sumida River, taking in the views of the Tokyo Skytree and other city landmarks.
